Experience our aromatic Veg Biryani, a vegetarian masterpiece at Mudpot South Indian Restaurant. Featuring premium basmati rice layered with fresh mixed vegetables, saffron, and traditional South Indian biryani spices, cooked to perfection using the authentic dum method. This fragrant and flavorful dish is a celebration of vegetarian cuisine at its finest.
Veg Biryani is a royal South Indian dish that transforms simple vegetables and rice into a culinary masterpiece. Our authentic preparation begins with premium aged basmati rice that's parboiled with aromatic whole spices including bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. Fresh mixed vegetables including potatoes, carrots, beans, cauliflower, and green peas are cooked separately with traditional South Indian spices and herbs to create layers of complex flavors.
What makes our Veg Biryani special is the traditional dum cooking method - the rice and vegetables are layered alternately with saffron-infused milk, ghee, fried onions, fresh mint, and coriander leaves, then sealed and slow-cooked to allow all the flavors to meld perfectly. The result is a fragrant, colorful dish where each grain of rice is separate and infused with aromatic spices. We serve it with cooling raita and tangy pickle, creating a complete and satisfying vegetarian meal.
